Special Medical Technology Co. Ltd. is an all-Czech design and manufacturing company, which is founded mainly on the expert knowledge and experience that the company promoters have gained during the past two decades. The company is owned by seven shareholders. There are four main employees in the commercial department and twenty-five contractual salesmen for the domestic market and eight others for the foreign market.

The principle decisions are made at the company's general meeting. The company director manages the company's current operational direction, either directly or through the heads of the company's individual departments.

The company's orientation and main operational areas include the development, design, manufacture, sales and service of the ELECTROSURGICAL and CRYOSURGICAL systems, instruments, tools and accessories for various human medical specialisations, including special equipment for dentistry as well as a parallel line of equipment for veterinary surgery. The company has been granted international certificates that confirm that its manufactured products are conformable with the standards currently in effect in the European Union and the Czech Republic Speciální Medicínská Technologie, s.r.o. (ISO 9001, ISO 13 485, the European Council Guidelines 93/42 EEC, EN 60601-1, EN 60601-1-2, EN 60601-2-2) as well as certificates in accordance with the Collection of Ordinances of the Government of the Czech Republic ČR NV 336/2004 Coll. and other Czech internal standards and operative regulations. The certification body for the Czech Republic and the EU is now the EZÚ Prague-NB 1014, (previously the G-MED-NB 0459 located in Paris, France). The company products hold the CE Mark of conformity CE 1014 (previously the CE 0459). All the company's products are delivered with a valid Declaration of Conformity.
